How we handle information across our free Career Fit Check, membership, clinical AI education, and career-preparation tools.

Your career information deserves clear handling. This page explains what we collect, why we need it, and how to contact us with privacy questions.

1. Who we are and scope

Nurse AI Career Lab (“Nurse AI Career Lab,” “we,” “our” or “us”) provides online clinical AI education and career-preparation tools for nurses. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through nurseaicareerlab.com, including the free Career Fit Check, paid membership features, member support, and related emails.

This policy applies to website visitors, free assessment participants, prospective members, and members. It does not cover websites and services operated independently by third parties, whose policies apply separately.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Career Fit Check: details you enter, which may include name, email address, nursing specialty, experience, AI familiarity, goals, answers, and career-match results.
  • Member account: email, authentication details managed through our identity provider, profile preferences, enrollment and membership status.
  • Career tools: material you enter, save, upload, or generate in courses, learning progress, resumes, career assessments, interview practice, job applications, reminders, and related tools.
  • Support and communications: messages, feedback, requests, and any contact details you share.
  • Payments: subscription status, Stripe customer or subscription references, billing periods, plan, and transaction-related confirmations. Payment-card entry and processing are handled by Stripe rather than by our ordinary member interface.

Information collected automatically

Our systems and service providers may process technical and security information, such as timestamps, browser/device details, requested pages, error logs, and IP addresses in service or hosting logs. For our separate first-party marketing-event log, we use randomly generated session and browser identifiers, campaign source, page interactions, and referrer domain. The browser identifier is stored in first-party local storage, is not linked to a member account, and helps distinguish first-observed browsers from returning browsers. This pseudonymous event log is designed not to store names, email addresses, or IP addresses.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service, generate requested career guidance and AI-supported features, manage membership eligibility and access, authenticate sign-ins, operate course progress and career tools, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, keep the platform secure, perform business reporting, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

We send service-related messages such as sign-in codes, membership confirmations, billing and account notices. Where you opt in to promotional messages, we may also send educational and marketing emails; you can unsubscribe using the link in those messages or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential account communications.

4. Service providers and sharing

We share information as needed with companies that help operate the platform, subject to the services used and their applicable privacy terms. These include:

  • Stripe for secure subscription checkout, payment processing, and billing management.
  • Supabase for account authentication, database storage, and server-side functions.
  • Vercel for website hosting and delivery.
  • Email delivery services for assessment results, one-time codes, account messages, and opted-in marketing communications.
  • AI-processing providers when needed to perform a feature you request, such as assistance with career materials or interview feedback.
  • Social-media and marketing management services for campaign measurement and operation, including aggregated campaign performance.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate misuse, or handle a legitimate business transition subject to applicable law. Third-party platforms may independently collect information when you visit their own pages or use their services.

5. AI features, resume information and clinical privacy

Some Nurse AI Career Lab tools generate or evaluate content using artificial intelligence. To deliver a requested AI feature, the inputs you supply may be processed by technical service providers. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or biased and should be independently reviewed before you rely on it.

Do not enter patient information. The platform is a career education service—not a patient-care system or a protected health record repository. Please do not upload patient identifiers, real medical records, protected health information (PHI), employer-confidential records, passwords, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for career learning. Use fictional or fully de-identified examples for clinical exercises.

Resume files, job descriptions, interview materials, and career notes may contain personal data. Review and remove information you do not want processed before uploading or submitting it.

6. Analytics, cookies and browser storage

Our website uses limited first-party session and local browser storage for enrollment attribution and visit measurement. A randomly generated session identifier counts sessions, and a separate randomly generated browser identifier can persist in local storage across sessions so that our dashboard can estimate first-observed and returning browsers. These are browser-based estimates, not verified counts of distinct people. Clearing browser storage or using another browser may cause someone to be counted as new again. The first-party marketing event log does not link these identifiers to named members. The collector does not run when the browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

Other necessary website and third-party services, including authentication, hosting, and Stripe Checkout, may use their own cookies or similar technologies to provide, secure, and measure those services. You can review your browser settings to manage storage; disabling required storage may limit some functionality. We do not describe our first-party anonymous campaign counts as personally identified member activity.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You may access or update certain account information from your profile and control your marketing email preferences using unsubscribe links. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, or other controls over personal information we hold. You may object to certain processing or request information about how a request is handled.

Send requests to hello@nurseaicareerlab.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may need to verify the request before acting and may retain some records where required for billing, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or security. We do not require you to include sensitive credentials in a privacy request.

8. Security, retention and international processing

We use access controls and service-provider security features intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage service can be guaranteed completely secure.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts and billing records, resolve disputes, support users, and meet legitimate legal requirements. Retention varies by record type; backups, security logs, and payment records may have different retention periods. You may request account or data deletion, subject to applicable obligations.

Our platform serves users online and uses service providers that may process information in the United States or other countries. Data-protection rules can differ across locations.
